Format: Submission tapes must be in VHS (NTSC, PAL & SECAM) or DVD format . If your submission is selected for screening, VHS (NTSC, PAL & SECAM), DVD, MiniDV or 16mm copies may be used. If you wish to have your submission returned, please include a prepaid return mailer. Productions submitted without return instructions will be archived by the DCISFF. International submissions should state on the customs declaration that the enclosed material is a festival submission and of no commercial value. "For cultural purposes only" should be printed clearly on the package. Do not send your film in a fibre filled envelope, the dust can damage tapes and viewing equipment. Include a short 40 word or less paragraph synopsis (in English) of your film that could be included in our festival program if your film is accepted. Include a list of production credits, prior screenings, and any awards if applicable. The DCSIFF reserves the right to include in public exhibition any or all films/videos entered. All entries must include a money order or a cheque payable to Dawson City Arts Society: $10 CDN for Canadian productions or $10 USD for foreign entries. It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all rights and permissions are in place for any film/video submitted. The DCSIFF does not accept any legal responsibility.
